The Board of Psychology (BOP) is the licensing and oversight board for all licensed psychologists in the state of CA.  They are one of 30 regulatory entities under the Department of Consumer Affairs, although they are self funded.  They meet four times a year and hear public comment at their board meetings.

We suggest you prepare a written comment to share that is no longer than five minutes. If there are a larger number of public speakers, you may only have two to three minutes. The BOP allows for general comments only and not case specific information, including psychologists names.

We welcome all protective parents with issues regarding with Family Court to attend the public comment session (when available) as well as send in a written comment to the JCC.

The Board of Behavioral Sciences (BSS) is the licensing and oversight board for all Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT) and Interns (IMF), Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW) Associates (ASW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselors (LPCC) and Interns (APCC) and Licensed Educational Psychologists (LEP) in the state of CA. Their mission is "Protect and serve Californians by setting, communicating, and enforcing standards for safe and competent mental health practice." They meet four times a year and hear public comment at their board meetings.
