Thursday, January 18, 2018: Hearing Sentencing for Alycia's Murderer

Mark Mesiti pleaded guilty to 49 counts that include the drugging, sexual assaulting and murderer of his own daughter, Alycia.  Mr. Mesiti replaced his lawyer to file for a law-in-motion hearing to withdraw guilty pleas.  The Court could deny this motion.  Currently the law-in-motion and sentencing hearing  is set for Thursday, January 18 at 9:30 am in Modesto.  All protective parents as asked to join Alycia's mother, Roberta Allen, and her great-aunt, Roberta Fitzpatrick, at the hearing to show support.

Reporting the abuse of your child by a spouse leads to mostly mothers losing custody to the abusive fathers. Just like the #MeToo movement, this is mainly a women's issue. That is why we are marching on Saturday, January 20 at the Women't March. Please find a march near you and confirm your local march time here:

We invite you to support this cause to allow all protective parents to report abuse and keep their children safe by printing out one of our posters and/or flyers to use at the march to help end child abuse in our courts.

Our dream to to know a parent can report abuse and still keep custody as well has have their child protected.

The Board of Psychology (BOP) is the licensing and oversight board for all licensed psychologists in the state of CA.  They are one of 30 regulatory entities under the Department of Consumer Affairs, although they are self funded.  They meet four times a year and hear public comment at their board meetings.

The February agenda is listed here.  The Enforcement Report is schedule for Friday, February 16 as well as a second public comment agenda item.

We suggest you prepare a written comment to share that is no longer than five minutes. If there are a larger number of public speakers, you may only have two to three minutes. The BOP allows for general comments only and not case specific information, including psychologists names.

The Board of Behavioral Sciences (BSS) is the licensing and oversight board for all Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT) and Interns (IMF),  Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW) Associates (ASW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselors (LPCC) and Interns (APCC) and Licensed Educational Psychologists (LEP) in the state of CA.  Their mission is "Protect and serve Californians by setting, communicating, and enforcing standards for safe and competent mental health practice." They meet four times a year and hear public comment at their board meetings.
